Here are a few pictures of some rigging challenges.
The Kingdome Gantry was a piece I built on site during the Kingdome roof renovation.
It sat over the center hatch on the top of the roof, 280 feet off the floor.
It was used for hauling hardware up to the roof.
It was left installed after the roof renovation, and when the Kingdome was imploded, I have been told by 2 people that it survived the fall.
It was 12 feet tall.
Then there is a picture of me standing on the roof.
The Mural rig was a challenge to hang an enormous tile mural in an Anglican church in Juanita, WA.
Because the walls were nothing but soundboard, with no structure, the mural was hung from the overhead glue-lam beam with cables.
The trapeze bar is titanium.
I have this friend who is a trapeze artist, and really likes titanium.
He says he wants 3 more of them.
The picture of people eating pie is a personal joke.
We were on the kingdome roof on seventh day (quad time) pay.
So, we were eating pie, 280 feet above ground, at $128.00/hr.
Kind of a one time event.
