Towel bars, Sink support, Vent hood, Winter '99

This job started with custom towel bars for the master bath, then grew to include the support for the fused glass countertop in the guest bath, and then expanded again to include the vent hood.

I was asked to duplicate an Abbaka hood as much as possible from nothing more than a photo from a design magazine.

3 weeks of CAD drawings and a week of fabrication.

The fan is a 1000cfm blower built inside the duct-cover above the hood.

The fan was soundproofed using aluminized bubble wrap insulation.

I made the Stainless Steel grease-traps from scratch.
