Chandelier, kitchen worktable, stools, Fall '98
I made the chandelier from scratch. The shades were spun from steel. The upper boxes were waterjet cut from computer drawings, bent up, and lined with tiffany glass. The lower diffusers are frosted glass.
The kitchen worktable required me to invent a drawer guide system that allowed the drawers to slide almost all the way out either side of the table. The table legs were cut by a CNC machine shop.
The stools were also my invention. Steel tubes with a copper wrap in the middle and a stainless steel foot ring. 3 legs means no wobbling.
The stools and table were patinaed by Maureen Christofel, a scenic painter friend of mine.
