Interior railings, staircase, fireplace surround, fireplace doors, copper vent hood, Kitchen counters, backsplash, safety rail, Fall '01
This was a whole house rebuild. The upper railings and stair rails used the same design. The staircase and the vent hood are my favorite pieces. The staircase is made completely from 1/4" plate steel. All parts were cut by Farwest steel using my computer drawing. The staircase was assembled in 3 pieces and welded together onsite.
The kitchen counter is formed stainless steel sheet.
The vent hood is copper with a stainless bottom panel and semicircular screen.
The safety rail is for a diaper changing table, and retracts into the counter edge.
The fireplace surround is 9 feet wide, by 18 feet tall, and is made of hot rolled steel sheet with riveted seams.
The fireplace doors are steel with Ferro-ceram glass panels.
