From my time as a carpenter and weldor for the Seattle Opera Association Scene Shop.
La Boheme is a rather depressing opera.
These shots include a large aluminum truss used to support the roofline of the main house, several gates and railings, a collection of street-lights, and a steel tree.
The tree was made of hydraulic tubing, with ever smaller tube sizes sleaved into the previous tube, tapering out to the branch tips. This allowed the entire tree to be dismantled and shipped.
The hammer with a scope on it was a joke gift for the master carpenter.
