These are pieces made with phosphor bronze blades.

Phosphor bronze is lovely stuff to work with.

No heat is needed.

The blades are cut roughly to shape and the metal is hardened by hammering the edges thinner and thinner.

A Bronze blade will cut quite well as long as you use it only on materials softer than itself.
